Bayangan, the solo neo-folk project of Fikri Fadzil, is set to perform at the JAM JAM ASIA festival in Taipei. 

Part of the 2024 TRENDY TAIPEI initiative, this festival will take place from September 7-8 at the Taipei Music Center.

Bayangan is set to take the stage on the first day of the festival, alongside SLAPKISS from Thailand, Cody・Lee(李) from Japan and many more.

JAM JAM ASIA will feature over 50 artists from across Asia, including popular acts from Japan, Korea, Thailand and more. 

This year, Bayangan released his five-track EP Dari Pinggiran, inspired by his participation in Sans Collective’s “Dari Pinggiran vol.1” — a media art performance held in 2022 at a deserted school in Kuala Lumpur. Over two years, Bayangan developed music incorporating field recordings and sound design from the performance, reflecting on the echoes of the past and the lives of migrant workers within the abandoned primary school.
