Where Is the Event Located?
Joyland Festival Jakarta will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Complex, a prominent sports venue in Senayan, Jakarta.
Who Are the Performing Acts?
This year’s festival boasts an impressive lineup that you won’t want to miss. Grammy Award-winning artist St. Vincent will headline, making her only Southeast Asian stop at the festival. Other headliners include the French indie rock bands Air and Bombay Bicycle Club.
The Saturday night slot will feature the dynamic collaboration of South Korea’s Hyukoh and Taiwan’s Sunset Rollercoaster. This performance marks their only outdoor festival date during the AAA tour.
The Lily Pad Stage will be curated by the esteemed indie pop sextet White Shoes & The Couples Company (WSATCC). They will perform alongside a diverse lineup that includes Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band, South Korean electronic trio Idiotape, DJ Cami Layé Okún, DJ Danniella Dee, and Habibi Funk.
“In curating the Lily Pad Stage, we wanted to share our joy and artistic ideas,” says WSATCC.
“We’ve chosen friends we’ve met on our journey, handpicked newcomers, and artists whose musical references, authenticity, energy, and spirit we admire.”
Homegrown talents like Asa Kusumah, Bosborot, The Cottons, Drizzly, Jeslla, Plastic, and Prontaxan will also take the stage, with Jakarta rock titans .FEAST making their Joyland Festival debut.
What Other Performances Will Be Featured?
The 2024 edition of Joyland Festival Jakarta introduces a new stand-up comedy lineup at the Shrooms Garden comedy stage, hosted and curated by Soleh Solihun.
Expect performances from Musdalifah Basri, Nopek Novian, Rigen Rakelna, Adi Arkiang, Alip Baihak, Alwi Shihab, Boby Al Mahbub, Deki Sutrisna, Ilham Abay, Rahmet Ababil, Fikri Rahmat, and Fico Fachriza.
The White Peacock family activity area will expand this year, occupying the Indoor Tennis Stadium with a variety of fun programs for children.
Special guests will entertain the little ones with storytelling from Sal Priadi and singing sessions with Maliq & D’little Essentials. Apri Mela Prawidiyanti of WSATCC will lead a choir of HighScope elementary school students.
Additionally, don’t miss the Cinerillaz outdoor cinema curated by acclaimed writer-director Joko Anwar, which will screen short films that have previously been showcased at international film festivals.
