Mirthless Donates Bandcamp Proceeds to Support Putra Heights Explosion Relief

The band will publish both sales records and donation receipts at the end of the campaign.

Post-black metal band Mirthless has announced that from April 3–10, 100% of proceeds from their Bandcamp releases will go directly to grassroots relief efforts aiding those affected by the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion.

Their Bandcamp catalogue includes Solitary Confinement Tapes, a three-track demo EP released in 2022, and their latest 2024 single, “Scorn”.

“This is not charity. It’s solidarity,” Mirthless said in a statement.

“We’re not here to romanticize suffering. We’re here because we have a platform — and it would be a shame not to use it.”

The band has pledged full transparency, promising to publish both sales records and donation receipts at the end of the campaign.

The initiative comes in response to the April 1 gas pipeline explosion at Jalan Putra Harmoni, which displaced over 500 residents and injured at least 145 people.

Survivors described the scene as resembling a war zone, with flames reportedly reaching over 100 feet high and temperatures soaring to 1,000 degrees Celsius.
