Rockstation, an events organiser known for its rock concerts, is teasing a new music festival set to take place in Kuala Lumpur.
Titled the Jabat Erat Fringe Arts Music Festival, the inaugural edition will run over three days at ODEON Kuala Lumpur — an iconic heritage cinema built in 1936, now reimagined as a contemporary arts space.
The Jabat Erat Fringe Arts Festival brings together artists across the full spectrum of “rock and roll” fringe music, spanning local, regional, and international scenes.
Marking its first edition, the festival aims to spotlight immersive, multi-genre sounds and the communities built around them.
More than 20 local and regional acts are set to perform, covering genres such as shoegaze, metal, indie rock, and folk, among others.
Beyond the performances, the festival will also feature music forums with notable speakers from across the region, alongside an independent market offering vinyl, cassettes, CDs, and other music merchandise.
The festival also positions itself as a platform for connection bringing together independent bands, promoters, venues, labels and fans from Malaysia and beyond, fostering exchange across both emerging and established circles within the fringe music landscape.
Tickets are set to go on sale in April 2026. Pre-registration is now open, offering early access to discounted early bird tickets via the festival’s official website.
