A man has died following an incident during a music event at Bangunan MLK, Kampung Jawa, Malacca on Saturday, 17 October, according to a public statement by the venue.
In the statement, the venue said it was “deeply saddened by the tragic incident” and is working with police, having provided CCTV footage.
It said the footage shows the man colliding with another person while moshing in front of the stage and falling to the ground head first. The venue described it as an unintentional accident. Noisy Headspace has not seen the footage.
The venue said the show was stopped and that attendees and organising crew helped him. It said he was later seen leaving the venue by himself and that it was told he had been taken to hospital. It said it learned of his critical condition hours later and does not know his condition after he left.
Noisy Headspace has not independently verified the circumstances. The cause of death has not been officially established, and the venue said police are investigating.
