Everyone seems to be dropping new music by the second half of the year, and we don’t know why! Alas, here are four releases we’re keeping an eye on this September.

Terma dan Syarat by Megat Fazly

Release date: 4 September 2026

The ⅓ of sibling trio Mafidz is releasing his much-anticipated solo album this month. Titled Terma dan Syarat, the album brings together songs written across various phases of his life, from as early as 2014 to 2026.

Human Error by Shoplifters

Release date: 6 September 2026

Alt-rock band SHOPLIFTERS return with a four-track EP titled Human Error, described as the antithesis of their debut album, INVADUHZ.

Bencana Manusia by Lasa

Release date: 11 September 2026

Lasa is the solo project of Mascot frontman Aiman Z., rooted in the “post-emo” sound. Bencana Manusia is Lasa’s second album of the year, following New Malaya, which was released in January.

The Boy Next Door by Hoji

Release date: 18 September 2026

Singer Hoji is releasing his debut album, The Boy Next Door, a 14-track record described as a journey of finding himself. “So much of this album is about trying to take up space the way I feel like I was born to,” he said.
